Malaysia NOC ExCo meeting focuses on SEA Games preparations

UAE Special Olympics lays foundation for a more inclusive world

Manama, Bahrain, March 22, 2019: Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa is the only candidate to become the new president of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), it was announced on Thursday, March 21.

As the submission of the BOC candidacy campaign came to an end, it emerged that the Bahrain Athletics Association candidate, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, was the lone presidential candidate for a four-year electoral cycle.

Cambodia benefits from taekwondo development fund

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, March 22, 2019: World Taekwondo and the Asia Development Foundation (ADF) have delivered a 24,000 USD taekwondo development fund and university scholarship grants to Hang Chuon Naron, Cambodia's Minister for Education, Youth and Sport, during a ceremony at the Education Ministry in Phnom Penh.

Kazakhstan NOC and UNESCO agree on cooperation

Almaty, Kazakhstan, March 21, 2019: The Kazakhstan National Olympic Committee has signed a memorandum of cooperation with UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.

The document was signed by Saken Mussaibekov, Kazakhstan NOC General Secretary, and Krista Pikkat, Director of UNESCO office for Kazakhstan. The signed memorandum is the first such document in Central Asia.

Singapore PM joins public sailing day

Singapore, March 20, 2019: Singapore Sailing welcomed a special visitor to their complimentary public sailing weekend at Marina Bay last Saturday - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Together with Madam Ho Ching they put on their life jackets while listening to a safety briefing by General Manager Chung Pei Ming. They also wore the Singapore Sailing visors given to them, making them look just like a member of the sailing public.
