Bahrain tops final medal standings at Asian Athletics Championships

Doha, Qatar, April 25, 2019: Bahrain, driven by their powerful middle- and long-distance runners, finished top of the medal standings at the 23rd Asian Athletics Championships which ended on Wednesday.

OCA EB member Ryu elected to ITTF Ex-Co

Seoul, Korea, April 24, 2019: The 2004 Olympic men's table tennis champion Ryu Seung-min has been elected to the executive committee of the International Table Tennis Federation, Yonhap News reports.

Ryu, 36, was voted unanimously to the key decision-making body of the ITTF at its Annual Meeting in Budapest on Monday on the sidelines of the world championships. His term as the 11th member of the committee runs through 2024.

SEA Games venues in Philippines escape earthquake damage

Manila, Philippines, April 24, 2019: Infrastructure for the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2019 in the Philippines this November escaped damage from the earthquake that struck Pampanga province, north of Manila, on Easter Monday.

OCA visits AYG 2021 host city Shantou

Shantou, China, April 23, 2019: A five-member delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia visited the host city of the OCA’s 3rd Asian Youth Games in 2021, Shantou, on Tuesday, April 23.
